For Honor | Khatun Key Art

Client: Ubisoft
Project: For Honor
In collaboration with KWM
_____
Looking back at a project I had the pleasure of contributing to, the reveal of Khatun, For Honor’s playable hero.
-
My contribution focused on Khatun’s look development, from adding fur to her hood and arms and replacing the alpha-masked chainmail with geometry, to refining her overall appearance for high-resolution presentation. I was also responsible for posing Khatun to give her a commanding presence on the throne, as well as lighting the scene to make her look powerful and imposing.
-
Thank you to Ubisoft for the opportunity and to KWM for another fantastic collaboration. I’m also so grateful to my colleagues at VOLTA for the great collaboration and for making this project possible!

Look development of Khatun: I added fur using Ornatrix around her hood and on her arms, replacing alpha-masked textures. I replaced the alpha-masked chainmail with easy to pose and deform geometry. I also refined Khatun’s appearance for high-res image.
